When I worked in the corporate world the IT equipment was initially out of the ark - we were still operating Windows 98 in 2002! Then suddenly things changed and everybody was issued with up to date kit by the new IT help desk. How did this help desk miracle come about? They outsourced the IT operation. As a home business operator I do not have the luxury of an in-house help desk but I have found a lot of very helpful websites I can ask for help when my hard drive crashes, for example.
